Evolution of Low Cost Airlines

Over the past 20 years, there were several low-cost airlines identified as the most successful airlines in Europe according to the number of transported passengers. Theoretical part of the thesis has several objectives. It is an analysis of the airlines success it selves as well as an analysis of their gradual development in low cost air travel within Europe and description of the low-cost aviation market in Europe in terms of the history and competitiveness. The practical part which is the main objective of the thesis is an overall analysis of the differences in business models of low-cost carriers and the impact of these differences on the development of their economic and operational performance.

The bachelor thesis is evaluating developmental tendencies of agricultural foreign trade of the Czech republic after joining the European Union. It is focused on analyzing of agricultural trade of the Czech republic and judgement of its overall dynamic as well as development of territorial and commodity structure and also identification of product group which expel comparative advantage or disadvantage towards integrated trade of the European Union. For construction of the analysis was used the CZSO database.
Analysis of the Effects of Sri Lankan 1977 External Economic Liberalization Policy on Foreign Direct Investment

The Synthetic Control Method (SCM) provides the comparative case-study evaluation on Sri Lanka and other 18 countries in this research paper. The external economic liberalization policy implemented in 1977 has significant changes in the Inward Foreign Direct Investments in the state. Focusing on the 18 countries, the methodology is being carried out comparing the Inward Foreign Direct Investment towards the level of countries without similar pre- treatment characteristics and liberalization policy effect. The final results show that there is a positive impact of the inward foreign direct investments towards the economic growth through the external economic liberalization policy. Additionally, we identified global and domestic economic shocks affecting the late 20th century international trade and foreign direct investments. The methodology performed successfully through a gradual increase in foreign direct investments in the results which was developed towards the policy suggestions.

Three main objectives are set out within the work. Firstly, I will compare the theory of regulation with its practical application to the energy sector in the Czech Republic. The second objective covers a comparison of two methods of regulation and their impacts on a consumer and the regulated company. For this purpose prices set by regulatory authority have been compared with prices created by Price-cap method. The third objective is the analyses of electricity prices ranging from the initial operating of the regulatory authority in the Czech Republic. The outcome of the thesis is the description of the regulation of energy market in the Czech Republic focusing on the theories of regulation.
The Dissolution of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia - A Comparative Case Study

The thesis compares two different modes of state disintegration of post-communist federations. Yugoslavia is an example of a violent breakup, Czechoslovakia stands for a peaceful way, how to split a state. Using the Level of Analysis concept the study looks for differences at five levels focusing mainly on the change caused by the process of democratic transition in both states that removed the old regime and brought a competitive atmosphere among the old and new elites representing various ethnic groups. The outcome of the analysis is that the role of the army, the length of the liberalization process and the different historical experience are factors that matter most.
Selective adjustment to EU regulatory provisions in new member states : the case of electricity market liberalization in Bulgaria and Czech Republic

The present work aspires to provide a comprehensive analysis of the policy developments through which European-level prescriptions regarding the liberalization of national electricity markets have been accommodated within the domestic policy contexts of two new member states of the European Union: Bulgaria and Czech Republic. Despite being subjected to uniform demands, adaptation to community regulatory provisions in the two countries has prompted divergent patterns of policy change, resulting in full compliance in the Czech Republic and a failure to meet EU objectives in Bulgaria. In order to address the observed inconsistency the envisaged research identifies a causal link between the outcomes of regulatory compliance and the influence of utility regulation as a sector-specific EU governance pattern on the dynamics of resource re-distribution at the domestic level. A major concern of the research is how contextual factors, such as incumbent power balances across actor populations in the target policy area condition the impacts of EU inputs on domestic policy decisions. The Process of the Transition to Democracy in Czechoslovakia in the Period of November - December 1989

This bachelor thesis analyses the transition of Czechoslovakia towards democracy with emphasis on the first period of the transition: November and December 1989. The paper introduces different transitological approaches and applies them to the Czechoslovakia case. Traditional approaches, for instance Rustow, Mainwaring, Karlová and Schmitter, Przeworski, and others, are used to reflect upon the transition phases and typology. The thesis furthermore takes into consideration major historiographical works on the final phase or fall of non-democratic regimes and establishing a new system. Understanding Middle Class in India

The sociological concept of class remains an important analytical tool for the study of modern societies. The development of individual segments of class stratification, and relations among them in a society, serve as an important indicator for the economic, social and political development of the state. Over the last decade, it has particularly been the middle class, which received higher attention from various authors and institutions as it represents a significant aspect of the emerging economies associated with the BRICS. This bachelor thesis deals with the description of the contemporary middle class in India and with the changes that have occurred in the process of its formation, primarily after the independence in 1947. The historical perspective will serve as one of the methods for observing its evolution. The main objective is to provide a comprehensive analysis of this social segment, and at the same time, to portray the current effects of globalization and the economy on existing hierarchies within the Indian society. LIBERALIZATION OF THE CZECH LABOUR LAW Mgr. Gabriela Antonie Bartová, 2010 Abstrakt Liberalization of labor law is subject of this thesis. It deals with concepts and principles essential for the liberalization of labor law. They are: flexicurity principles, subsidiarity in relation to civil law, contractual principles, principle of "what is not forbidden is allowed". It deals with invalidity of legal acts, the question of a separate branch of the law. It mentions the issue of discrimination and loyalty towards the employer. Subsequently it covers individual institutes devoted to labor law. First, it deals generally with issues of employment, including the issue of so-called "švarcsystem". It looks over the possibility of anchoring the institute of secondary employment and employment for a shorter period of time. It focuses on the employment relationship, defining elements of an employment contract. It considers modification of the term "manager", institute of an appointment and probationary period. In detail it deals with concept termination of an employment - both in general terms, as well by individual institutions.
